Due to a rift between German brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler owners of ‘Dassler shoes’, Adolf created Adidas, whilst Rudolf created Puma. Rudolf continued his success, making a name for Puma with the release of the brands first football boot, the “ATOM” was of far better quality then the competitor boots and was worn by a majority of the Western Germany football team in their first game post WWII. From that point on Puma became synonymous with the world game sky rocketing their popularity on a global scale.
