The GEL-KAYANO™ 12.1 sneaker combines iconic design details from the version that launched in 2006 and harmonises them with a modern tooling system. This design's upper was inspired by European gothic armor and its structural, metallic properties. The upper also features a combination of sporty synthetic leather overlays and open mesh underlays that help keep feet cool and comfortable.
The midsole features the same tooling system as the GEL-NIMBUS™ 17 shoe. Originally engineered for comfort during the marathons, it features dual GEL™ technology inserts and a FLUIDRIDE™ cushioning structure.
