Converse

Beginning in 1908 by Marquis Mills as ‘Converse Rubber Shoe Company’, the company specialised in rubber-soled footwear for all ages. In 1915, the company made the switch to focus on athletic footwear, then in 1921, the man himself Charles H. "Chuck Taylor", joined Converse after complaining to the sales office in Chicago about having sore feet. Together Charles and Converse bought us the iconic Chuck Taylor, a shoe designed purely for basketball. After dominating the Basketball scene for years, the Chuck Taylor made its way onto the feet of Musicians and influential people of other cultures and has since stood the test of time.
