With a focus on craft and culture, the brand’s identity has grown organically, deeply rooted in the community that supports it. Starting from humbly roasting coffee for businesses locally and abroad, and now expanding to their latest Myaree location, DoubleDouble’s idea serves more than just coffee; it’s a gathering place, a hub for those who value connection and creativity. What inspired you to start your business?

Ultimately, it was about creating something new. At the time, I didn’t see anything in the space between coffee and subculture and wondered what that could look like. I reached out to Jake, knowing he had the skill set to execute the coffee program, and we started to roll from there. We were fortunate to bring on Ryan and Rory, who have really been the driving force behind the brand’s visual identity. They’ve done an incredible job of taking our ideas and weaving them into a cohesive brand narrative that also reflects their own perspectives.

How would you describe your personal style/team’s style?

We all have very independent styles, but there are definitely overlaps in the interests we share. I can’t really describe us as having a team style, there’s definitely no uniform here, but I’d like to think that our individual styles combine to create the overall aesthetic of DoubleDouble.

What does community mean to you and your business?

I have a great deal of respect for our community. Without their engagement and support, DoubleDouble wouldn’t have been able to grow the way it has. The best part about opening our Myaree location has been providing a space where we can meet our community and connect.
