Introducing — Verner

Last year, Verner made their debut at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week in a dazzling array of vibrant hues and textures. Designer Ingrid Verner explains, "Sourcing and archiving found artefacts is a significant part of my design process." Her latest collection, Lost Resort, captures the summer nostalgia associated with holiday souvenirs, travel postcards, and beach motifs. Integrating classic Australiana serves as a way to explore how the European notion of resort wear translates to an Australian context. Motifs like polka dots, chux, and beach balls take center stage, offering the audience a high-fashion interpretation of the scorching Australian summer.

Verner encapsulates the feeling of nostalgia in a way that feels innovative, applying intricate tailoring to every piece to create an elevated wearability. The majority of pieces have been constructed with a breathable swim-suit like material that moulds to the body in a unique yet flattering way. The Melbourne-based label discovers a way of effortless dressing that can be integrated with ease into every wardrobe. Last week our team enjoyed styling Verner’s latest collection on our Tik Tok, we discovered that the bold colours on the Swim Gown are universally flattering and can be paired with any shoe. With a variety of prints and fabrics to choose from there is a piece from ‘Lost Resort’ for everyone. Scroll through to explore Verner's latest collection!
