Combining design elements from UK and LA streetwear, Cooper always has a distinct story to tell within his collections. Displaying a wide breadth of artistic influence from his FW19 collection titled 'Spoiled Children', which was centred around creating a uniform reminiscent of his years of formative schooling to his AW23 collection 'Desire Paths' inspired by the under appreciated road less taken.
Blending natural Americana with trail-based streetwear, REESE COOPER® collaborates with trail entrepreneurs Merrell 1 TRL for the second time this season to create a gorpcore infused footwear capsule. Silhouettes celebrated within this season’s capsule include the Hydro Moc AT Cage SE and Moab Mesa Luxe SE.
In Merrell’s most recent AW23 collection the futuristic Hydro Moc received an added feature, a drawstring toggle laced throughout the upper ensuring easy on-and-off functionality. This new design has also made an appearance within this season's artistic collaboration with Reese Cooper, in addition to a super-resilient, water-friendly EVA foam cage upper, a 80% recycled nylon upper, a midsole crafted from BLOOM® performance foam (10% algae biomass), and a rear sling for heel support. Arriving in new hues including, a tonal green titled Tea and a Black colourway featuring a red drawstring toggle.
The Moab silhouette also receives an eye-catching upgrade, this everyday shoe can be worn on or off the trail, featuring a Vibram® TC5+ outsole and premium materials, paying homage to Merrell's hiking heritage. Creating a fusion between environmentally friendly and durable materials, this silhouette features a waterproof pig suede upper and 100% recycled laces and webbing.
