The newest recruit to join our HAL Womenswear Department on Lvl 2, King Street is Bushwick-based Eckhaus Latta, established in 2011 by Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta. The pair met at The Rhode Island School of Design, and for the last 13 years have worked between studios in Los Angeles and New York City.

Minimalist ideals have shaped the brand’s wearable aesthetic, along with their dynamic approach to gender fluidity, classic function and sensual form. Bias cuts, semi-sheer fabrics, body-hugging constructions and super soft Made in USA wide-leg jeans are standard protocol for EL, as well as their ever-popular lapped baby tees, adored for its slightly cropped and oh-so flattering fit.
