All Eyes On Me is a 20-year project by Paris-based photographer Maï Lucas. Shot between 1990 and 2010, the collection captures the raw energy and "symbolic sovereignty" of New York’s African-American and Hispanic street culture long before it was commercialized by the fashion industry.
Through her lens, Lucas documents the birth of hip-hop aesthetics with empathy and grace, featuring portraits of youth expressing their identity through dance, family life, and everyday style. Born in 1968, Lucas began her career documenting the French hip-hop scene before moving her focus to the iconic neighborhoods of New York.
