G-SHOCK began in 1983 with a single brief: a watch that could survive being dropped. Engineer Kikuo Ibe's DW-5000C answered it, and shock resistance has underpinned every G-SHOCK since. More than forty years on, that principle still drives the design. The 2500 Series reworks the original in analogue, with an octagonal case in bio-based resin or stainless steel.
