The 1983 DW-5000C was a resin watch built to survive a drop. Casio's 2500 series reworks it in analogue, and the GMC-2500G dresses the octagonal shape in a gold ion-plated bezel over a gold dial, on a black textured resin band. Under the finish it is still a G-Shock: magnetically held hands with a Shock Release Hand to absorb impacts, a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, a Multi-Mission Date window at 3 that shows the date, stopwatch minutes and settings, 200m water resistance and a weight of 68g.
