Through Different Lights: Introducing the G-SHOCK 2500 Series

For our latest editorial, the team took a different route with modern studio still life on the Casio G-SHOCK 2500 Series. Instead of locking the watches down into a conventional product campaign, the shoot works with continuous hand and arm movements under diffused light. Captured largely in monochrome, the imagery pairs close macro crops, hand and arm still life with blurred motion to show how the watches shift and catch light when they are actually in use.

The idea behind the shoot mirrors how a timepiece functions in the real world. A watch is never viewed under single, controlled conditions, nor does it remain frozen in a single moment. Built around G-SHOCK's uncompromising standard of structural resilience, the 2500 Series is designed for long-term ownership, an object purchased to transition through different stages of life, varying routines, and shifting environments over years of wear. Capturing the watches through movement reflects that exact trajectory: an object lived in, constantly shifting.

Conceptually, the 2500 Series centres on sharper, more architectural lines while keeping the core shock-resistant engineering intact. The collection of nine models explores this new geometry across three distinct material tiers. At one end are full-metal executions with solid steel cases and matching integrated bracelets. Sitting alongside them are hybrid models pairing forged stainless steel bezels with utilitarian resin bands, rounded out by classic full-resin builds that focus purely on lightweight resilience.

"An object lived in, constantly shifting."

The G-SHOCK 2500 Series will be available from 8am AWST on Saturday, November 7th. Join us via the HAL Dept. Store from 10am AWST on Saturday, November 14th, to celebrate the launch.
