What's the first thing that comes to your mind you hear "HAL graphic tees?". When we hear it, the first thing that comes to our minds is a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for the history and evolution of the Highs and Lows brand. Taking a step into our latest project, the Highs and Lows Department Store, we asked our team and friends the same question, and their initial reaction was to immediately take a retrospective look and compare the new store to the first High and Lows store we opened over a decade ago in Mount Lawley. We've noticed how the global trends have influenced our designs, experiences, and inspirations, leading to an evolution over time.

We reminisced about the history of our graphic tees, the store, and changing trends and we realised that our graphics have remained steadfast, inspired by our brand's initial foundation. Against the grain of trends and perhaps biased with nostalgia, HAL graphic tees have always been about our favourite eras of design, art, photography, music, and film. Our diverse friends and team have always brought new conversations and introduced us to new favourite movies, tracks, artists, and more. This realisation has made us proud to present our latest instalment in the Highs and Lows Graphic Program.

Instalment 03 brings together a powerhouse of Australian creatives, including Nick of Candice for You, Callum of Channel 83, and John of HAL Studios. The influence of groundbreaking beats and lyrical mastery of Del la Soul comes alive in one graphic, while another juxtaposes the HAL archives with one of fashion's most avant-garde collections, bringing a refined monochrome aesthetic. Nostalgia plays a role once again as we reunite with the golden era of analogue, preserved through retro-inspired motifs, and explore the eras of wellness through abstract manifestations of the cycle of life, energy, and movement. Lastly, we pay homage to the genius of Hockney, one of history's most influential artists and his works.

Every graphic adorns our timeless premium garments, which are made in the USA. Designed with a relaxed fit and constructed from robust cotton, these pieces are meant to withstand the test of time.
