We welcome another independent label, Paloma Wool, to our brand roster. Founded in 2014, Barcelona city, by Paloma Lanna, Paloma Wool is about the ritual of clothing and the act of getting dressed. Rituals are purposeful, symbolic, creative and require our full attention and intention. Her garments are therefore beautiful, delicate, timeless and deeply inspired by a sense of inner place. Somehow, they evoke the feeling of stillness amongst chaos, a moment of peace and quiet within a cityscape.
Equally important to design is the brand’s connection with vintage fashion, photography and art. The designer grew up in a world of art and artists, her best friends are artists, and she chooses to surround herself with strong, creatively-driven women. Paloma Lanna searches for beauty, and she finds it everywhere, and in everyone. “When I see women on the street,” she says, “they inspire me. Everything about them inspires me: their charisma, body shapes, skin colours, styles, hair.” This is the universe the label was created from, her vision of you and me — the kind of woman who dresses up in Paloma Wool.
